Intro to College Research

This guide has been created to introduce you to academic library resources available to you through the NUstep program.

Step 1: Student Number Identification

To start, you'll need your 7-digit student number. Ask your teacher for this number. They should have a list of the numbers for all students in the class.

Step 2: Register Your Number

Go to http://www.niagara.edu/purplepass-account

Click on New Student? Activate Your PurplePass!

On the next page, fill out the two boxes. Your student number is the letter "s" with your 7-digit number, for example: s1234567. Enter your birthdate in numbers, for example June 15, 2005 would be entered as 06/15/2005.

Click Get Started.

On the next screen, you will receive a password. You will use the username (s + your 7-digit number) along with the password to use NU Library's databases.
