Journal Article From an Online Database

In-Text Citation - Basic Format:

(lastname pagenumber)
Note that there is no comma!

In-Text Citation - Example: 

Information is better retained over multiple short study sessions, rather than one long session. (Smith 320).

A study by Smith showed that information is better retained over multiple short study sessions, rather than one long session (320).

 

Works Cited List - Basic format:

AuthorLastName, AuthorFirstName. "Article Title." Journal Title, volume number, issue number, year, pages. Name of Online Database, DOI. Date Accessed.

Works Cited List - Example:

Smith, Jennifer. "Effectiveness of Different Studying Schedules." The Journal of College Achievement, vol. 23, no. 5, 22 Mar. 2014, pp. 317-325. EBSCOhost, doi:12.1234/1234567. Accessed 10 January 2020.
